Job Description
Our client is seeking a visionary and highly talented Senior Sound Designer to join their innovative, fully remote entertainment team. This is an exceptional opportunity to craft immersive and memorable audio experiences for a wide range of interactive projects. You will be instrumental in defining the sonic landscape of our games and digital media, from conceptualization and asset creation to implementation and final mixing. This role requires a deep understanding of audio post-production, interactive audio systems, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of sound design.

- Conceptualize, design, and implement high-quality sound effects, atmospheres, Foley, and musical elements for interactive projects.
- Collaborate closely with game designers, narrative writers, artists, and engineers to ensure audio vision aligns with overall project goals.
- Record, edit, mix, and master audio assets using industry-standard digital audio workstations (DAWs) and middleware solutions.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive library of sound assets, ensuring organization and accessibility.
- Implement audio assets into game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity) and interactive audio middleware (e.g., Wwise, FMOD).
- Troubleshoot and resolve audio-related issues during development and post-launch.
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in sound design, interactive audio, and the broader entertainment industry.
- Mentor junior sound designers and contribute to the overall growth of the audio team.
- Provide creative direction and technical expertise for all audio aspects of assigned projects.
- Conduct critical listening sessions and provide constructive feedback on audio implementations.
- Ensure audio deliverables meet project specifications and quality standards.
- Manage audio asset pipelines and workflows efficiently.
- Bachelor's degree in Sound Design, Music Technology, Audio Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 7+ years of professional experience in sound design, with a strong portfolio showcasing work on interactive titles or high-fidelity digital media.
- Proficiency in industry-standard DAWs such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, Cubase, or Reaper.
- Extensive experience with interactive audio middleware like Wwise or FMOD.
- Strong understanding of game engine audio systems (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity).
- Excellent recording, editing, mixing, and mastering skills.
- Creative vision and a keen ear for detail, with the ability to create compelling and immersive soundscapes.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience with field recording and Foley artistry is a significant plus.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for audio pipeline automation is beneficial.
