Remote Energy Systems Analyst - Renewable Integration

We are seeking a highly analytical and motivated Remote Energy Systems Analyst to join our distributed team. This role is crucial in assessing, designing, and optimizing energy systems, with a specific focus on integrating renewable energy technologies and managing grid stability. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical engineering, energy systems, or a related field, coupled with expertise in energy modeling software and a passion for renewable energy. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from anywhere within the US.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform detailed analysis of existing and proposed energy systems, focusing on efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.
  • Develop and implement models for the integration of renewable energy sources (solar, wind, battery storage) into existing power grids.
  • Evaluate the performance of energy storage solutions and their impact on grid stability and economics.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and techno-economic assessments for new energy projects.
  • Utilize specialized energy modeling software (e.g., PSS/E, ETAP, HOMER) to simulate system behavior under various scenarios.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and technical documentation outlining findings, recommendations, and project outcomes.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and clients via virtual communication channels.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in renewable energy technologies.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative solutions for grid modernization and decarbonization.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in energy systems analysis, power systems engineering, or renewable energy project development.
  • Proficiency in energy modeling and simulation software (e.g., PSS/E, ETAP, HOMER Pro, SAM).
  • Strong understanding of power system fundamentals, grid operations, and renewable energy technologies.
  • Experience with battery energy storage systems (BESS) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote work environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to achieving project goals.
