Logistics and Warehouse Operations Manager - Remote

Our client, a dynamic and rapidly expanding e-commerce enterprise, is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Logistics and Warehouse Operations Manager to join their team on a fully remote basis. This critical role will oversee the efficiency and effectiveness of their entire supply chain operations, from inventory management and order fulfillment to shipping and returns processing. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in optimizing warehouse processes, implementing robust inventory control systems, and leveraging technology to drive operational excellence. You will be instrumental in ensuring timely delivery, minimizing costs, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage strategies to optimize warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics processes.
• Oversee all aspects of warehouse management, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and returns.
• Implement and maintain accurate inventory control systems to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, carriers, and suppliers to ensure efficient and cost-effective transportation.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost control and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, security protocols, and operational standards within the warehouse environment.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of warehouse and logistics personnel, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Implement and leverage technology solutions, such as Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS), to enhance efficiency.
• Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, and procurement teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
• Manage the selection and implementation of new warehouse equipment and technologies.
• Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions in the supply chain.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in logistics and warehouse operations management.
• Proven experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other supply chain technologies.
• Strong understanding of inventory control principles, fulfillment processes, and transportation logistics.
• Demonstrated ability to optimize operational efficiency and reduce costs.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Experience managing budgets and P&L for logistics operations.
• Familiarity with lean methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote, collaborative environment.
• Experience in e-commerce logistics is highly desirable.
