Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer for a fully remote position. This role is central to designing, developing, and optimizing intricate mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in mechanical design, analysis, and project leadership, coupled with a strong aptitude for remote collaboration. You will play a key role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and efficiency of our advanced mechanical solutions.

- Lead the design and analysis of complex mechanical systems, components, and assemblies from conceptualization through to production release.
- Utilize advanced CAD software for detailed 3D modeling and create comprehensive engineering drawings with precise tolerancing.
- Perform rigorous engineering analysis, including stress, thermal, vibration, and fluid dynamics simulations, using tools like FEA and CFD to validate designs.
- Develop and execute test plans for prototypes and production units, analyzing results and implementing necessary design modifications.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including electrical, software, manufacturing, and project management, to ensure seamless integration and product success.
- Oversee the selection of materials and components, ensuring they meet performance, cost, and reliability requirements.
- Mentor junior mechanical engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering professional development.
- Manage project schedules and deliverables, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Investigate and resolve complex mechanical engineering issues that arise during development or manufacturing.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of mechanical engineering processes, tools, and best practices within a remote setting.
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design engineering, with a strong portfolio showcasing complex systems.
- Expertise in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor) and advanced simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus).
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, etc.) and Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
- Proven experience in project leadership and managing engineering tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for effective remote collaboration and documentation.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver results in a remote work environment.
- Familiarity with systems engineering principles is a plus.
- Experience in relevant industries such as aerospace, automotive, or high-tech equipment is advantageous.
