Job Description
Orica is seeking a safety-focused CDL Class B Driver to join our Transportation & Logistics team. In this role, you will safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver explosives and related materials to mining, quarrying, construction, and energy sites. You will perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain accurate logs, and strictly follow DOT and Orica safety standards. Safely operate CDL Class B vehicles to transport explosives and related materials to customer and job sites
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery and safety documentation
Adhere to DOT, FMCSA, and Orica safety standards, including handling and securing hazardous materials
Coordinate with blasting and site teams to ensure timely, efficient deliveries and support site logistics
Report vehicle issues, safety concerns, and incidents promptly and participate in safety meetings and training
CDL Class B driving
Tanker/Hazmat handling
Vehicle inspection and maintenance
DOT and FMCSA compliance
Defensive driving
Route planning and logging
Load securement
Basic mechanical troubleshooting
Electronic log device operation
Safety and emergency procedures

Clean driving record meeting DOT and company standards
