Remote Lead Network Security Engineer

Our client, a leading telecommunications provider, is seeking an experienced Lead Network Security Engineer to join their fully remote security operations team. This role is critical for safeguarding the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our client's extensive network infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing advanced network security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDPS), VPNs, and security information and event management (SIEM) platforms. Your expertise will be vital in identifying and mitigating security threats, conducting vulnerability assessments, and responding to security incidents. This remote-first position requires a deep understanding of networking protocols, cybersecurity best practices, and emerging security threats. You will collaborate virtually with IT operations, system administrators, and other security professionals to ensure a comprehensive and proactive security posture. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in network engineering and cybersecurity, with a proven track record in designing and implementing enterprise-level security solutions. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCNA Security, or similar are highly valued. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential for this role.
