Remote Logistics and Supply Chain Analyst

Job Description

Our client, a leading international logistics and supply chain solutions provider, is seeking a highly analytical and results-oriented Remote Logistics and Supply Chain Analyst. This position, operating entirely remotely, will focus on optimizing our client's global supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong aptitude for data analysis, process improvement, and a comprehensive understanding of logistics principles. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies, implement solutions, and drive cost savings and service enhancements.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Analyze complex logistics and supply chain data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement data-driven strategies to optimize inventory management, transportation, and warehousing operations.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and create reports to track the effectiveness of supply chain initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to streamline processes and enhance collaboration across the supply chain.
  • Utilize advanced analytical tools and software to model different supply chain scenarios and forecast demand.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency gains throughout the supply chain.
  • Support the implementation of new logistics technologies and systems.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for various logistics functions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for new distribution networks or transportation routes.
  • Provide support and training to team members on supply chain best practices and system usage.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Research, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in logistics, supply chain analysis, or operations management.
  • Proven experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI, SQL).
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles, including inventory management, transportation, warehousing, and demand planning.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems and Supply Chain Management (SCM) software.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting, demonstrating strong time management skills.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
