Our client, a major player in the industrial sector, is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Lead Facilities Maintenance Engineer to oversee the maintenance operations of their extensive facilities. This critical role involves ensuring the optimal functioning and safety of all building systems, machinery, and infrastructure. You will lead a team of maintenance technicians, manage preventative and corrective maintenance programs, and drive efficiency improvements to minimize downtime and operational costs. This position requires a hands-on approach and a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive preventative maintenance programs for all facilities and equipment.
- Oversee the repair and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems.
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety protocols.
- Manage maintenance schedules, work orders, and resource allocation to ensure efficient operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Source and manage relationships with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance or repair services.
- Develop and manage the departmental budget, ensuring cost-effective maintenance practices.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and repair histories.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce equipment failures.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution of critical issues.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance engineering, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Proven expertise in maintaining and troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, building automation systems (BAS), and industrial machinery.
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a facilities environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with internal departments and external vendors.
