Remote Senior Supply Chain Strategist

Our client, a leader in the global logistics and warehousing industry, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Supply Chain Strategist to join their dynamic remote team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the United States.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of supply chain principles, advanced analytical skills, and a proven track record of developing and implementing effective supply chain strategies. You will be instrumental in optimizing inventory management, improving transportation efficiency, and enhancing overall operational performance across our client's extensive network. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced, ever-evolving market.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive supply chain strategies to support business objectives, with a focus on cost reduction, service level improvement, and risk mitigation.
• Analyze complex supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization in areas such as inventory, warehousing, and transportation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, sales, and finance, to ensure alignment and execution of supply chain initiatives.
• Design and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting mechanisms to track supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Lead and mentor a team of supply chain analysts, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting the supply chain landscape.
• Conduct financial modeling and cost-benefit analyses for proposed supply chain projects and investments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including logistics providers, suppliers, and technology vendors.
• Develop contingency plans and risk management strategies to address potential disruptions in the supply chain.
• Present findings, recommendations, and strategic plans to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, logistics, or a related analytical role.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful supply chain strategies.
• Expertise in supply chain planning, inventory management, demand forecasting, and transportation optimization.
• Proficiency in supply chain software and technologies (e.g., WMS, TMS, ERP systems, advanced planning systems).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven leadership and team management experience.
• Familiarity with lean Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a remote, independent work environment, demonstrating strong self-discipline and time management skills.
