Remote Senior Supply Chain Strategist

Our client, a leader in the global logistics and warehousing industry, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Supply Chain Strategist to join their dynamic remote team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the United States.

Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive supply chain strategies to support business objectives, with a focus on cost reduction, service level improvement, and risk mitigation.
- Analyze complex supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization in areas such as inventory, warehousing, and transportation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, sales, and finance, to ensure alignment and execution of supply chain initiatives.
- Design and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting mechanisms to track supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead and mentor a team of supply chain analysts, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting the supply chain landscape.
- Conduct financial modeling and cost-benefit analyses for proposed supply chain projects and investments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including logistics providers, suppliers, and technology vendors.
- Develop contingency plans and risk management strategies to address potential disruptions in the supply chain.
- Present findings, recommendations, and strategic plans to senior leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, logistics, or a related analytical role.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful supply chain strategies.
- Expertise in supply chain planning, inventory management, demand forecasting, and transportation optimization.
- Proficiency in supply chain software and technologies (e.g., WMS, TMS, ERP systems, advanced planning systems).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Familiarity with lean Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a remote, independent work environment, demonstrating strong self-discipline and time management skills.
