Senior Logistics Network Analyst (Remote)

Our client, a global leader in supply chain solutions, is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Logistics Network Analyst to join their fully remote team. This position is instrumental in optimizing our client's global logistics network, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and scalability. The ideal candidate will possess a strong quantitative background, advanced analytical skills, and a deep understanding of logistics operations, transportation management, and network design principles. Responsibilities include analyzing complex logistics data to identify opportunities for network optimization, cost reduction, and service improvement. You will develop and utilize sophisticated modeling tools and techniques to evaluate various network scenarios, including warehouse locations, transportation modes, and inventory strategies. Key duties involve collaborating with internal teams (operations, procurement, IT) and external partners (carriers, 3PL providers) to gather data, validate findings, and implement recommended changes. This role requires the ability to build and maintain robust dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to network efficiency, cost, and service levels. A significant part of the role will involve creating business cases for network changes, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management, and supporting the execution of approved initiatives. The candidate must be proficient in using advanced analytical software and databases, with a strong command of SQL and data visualization tools. Experience with network optimization software (e.g., Llamasoft, AnyLogic) is highly desirable. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this remote-first environment. A Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is a plus. Significant experience in logistics network analysis, modeling, and optimization is a must.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and model the company's global logistics network to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve network efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
  • Utilize advanced analytical tools and techniques for network design and simulation.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners on data collection and analysis.
  • Create and maintain performance dashboards and reports for logistics KPIs.
  • Develop business cases and present recommendations for network changes to senior management.
  • Support the implementation of approved network optimization initiatives.
  • Evaluate and recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, and inventory strategies.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in logistics and supply chain management.
  • Foster strong relationships with carriers and 3PL providers.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics network analysis and optimization.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and advanced Excel.
  • Experience with network optimization software (e.g., Llamasoft, AnyLogic) is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of logistics operations, transportation, and warehousing.
  • Excellent analytical, modeling, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage projects in a remote setting.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Experience building dashboards and reports using visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
