Job Description
Our client, a forward-thinking educational technology company, is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Remote Lead Instructional Designer to spearhead the creation of engaging and effective digital learning experiences. This fully remote role is crucial for developing high-quality educational content across various platforms. You will lead a team of instructional designers, guide course development processes, and ensure that learning outcomes are achieved through sound pedagogical principles and engaging multimedia.

- Lead the design, development, and implementation of engaging and effective online courses and learning modules.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to a team of instructional designers, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
- Apply adult learning theories and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to create impactful learning solutions.
- Oversee the entire course development lifecycle, from needs analysis and objective setting to content creation, media development, and evaluation.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to translate complex content into clear, concise, and engaging learning materials.
- Design and develop interactive elements, assessments, and activities that promote learner engagement and knowledge retention.
- Ensure all learning materials adhere to accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and are culturally responsive.
- Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously, adhering to strict deadlines and quality standards.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs through learner feedback and performance data.
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in instructional design and e-learning.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of instructional design processes and best practices.
- Utilize authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and learning management systems (LMS).
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Curriculum Development, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in instructional design, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior role.
- Proven experience leading instructional design projects and mentoring other designers.
- Expertise in adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and e-learning development.
- Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline/Rise, Adobe Captivate) and LMS platforms.
- Strong understanding of multimedia development and its application in online learning.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, especially in a remote setting.
- Ability to work independently and proactively to achieve project goals.
- Experience with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
