Our client, a rapidly expanding online retailer, is seeking a creative and results-driven Remote Social Media Marketing Strategist to spearhead their social media presence and drive e-commerce sales. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to shape compelling online narratives and connect with a global audience from anywhere. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of social media platforms, content creation, and performance analytics, with a proven ability to translate social engagement into tangible business growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies across various platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, Twitter) to increase brand awareness and drive website traffic and conversions for our e-commerce business.
  • Create, curate, and manage engaging and high-quality content, including posts, stories, videos, and graphics, that aligns with brand voice and marketing objectives.
  • Plan and manage social media content calendars, ensuring a consistent and relevant flow of information.
  • Monitor social media trends, competitor activities, and audience engagement, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
  • Analyze social media performance metrics, track KPIs, and generate detailed reports on campaign effectiveness, ROI, and key learnings.
  • Manage and grow social media communities, fostering engagement and responding to comments and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the e-commerce team, marketing, and design departments to ensure cohesive brand messaging and campaign alignment.
  • Develop and manage paid social media advertising campaigns, including targeting, budgeting, and A/B testing, to maximize reach and conversions.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with influencers and brand advocates to amplify reach and credibility.
  • Stay abreast of the latest social media platform updates, algorithm changes, and emerging technologies.
  • Optimize social media profiles and content for search engines (SEO).
  • Develop strategies for user-generated content campaigns and community building initiatives.
  • Manage social listening tools to monitor brand mentions and industry conversations.
  • Contribute to broader marketing strategy discussions, offering insights from social media performance.
  • Develop and manage contest and giveaway strategies to boost engagement and list growth.
  • Troubleshoot any issues related to social media platforms or advertising accounts.
  • Continuously test and iterate on content formats and engagement tactics.
  • Stay informed about e-commerce best practices and how social media integrates with the customer journey.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in social media marketing, with a strong focus on e-commerce and digital advertising.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing social media strategies that drive measurable results (e.g., engagement, traffic, sales).
  • Expertise in managing major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, Twitter) and their advertising suites.
  • Proficiency in social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, Google Analytics).
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and content optimization for social channels.
  • Excellent copywriting, editing, and visual storytelling skills.
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to inform strategy.
  • Experience with influencer marketing and community management is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
