Our client, a forward-thinking design and development firm, is seeking a highly creative and technically proficient Lead Architectural Designer to join their fully remote team. You will lead design projects from conceptualization through to detailed documentation, collaborating with clients and project teams to bring visionary architectural concepts to life. Your responsibilities will encompass leading design strategy, overseeing design development, and ensuring the highest standards of aesthetic and functional execution. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the conceptualization, design development, and documentation of architectural projects, ensuring alignment with client visions and project goals.
  • Develop innovative and sustainable design solutions that meet aesthetic, functional, and budgetary requirements.
  • Create high-quality architectural drawings, renderings, and presentations using advanced design software.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs, provide design expertise, and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee and mentor junior designers and drafters, providing guidance on design principles, software usage, and project execution.
  • Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of design elements and technical specifications.
  • Conduct site analyses, feasibility studies, and programming for new projects.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and other relevant standards.
  • Research and integrate new materials, technologies, and sustainable design practices into projects.
  • Manage project timelines and design deliverables, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion.
  • Contribute to business development efforts by participating in client meetings and proposal development.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Architecture or equivalent.
  • Professional architectural license (e.g., RA, RIBA) is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in architectural design, with a significant focus on leading design projects.
  • Proficiency in architectural design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing innovative and diverse architectural design work.
  • Excellent understanding of building codes, zoning laws, and construction processes.
  • Proven ability to lead design teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional visual communication, presentation, and client management skills.
  • Knowledge of sustainable design principles and green building certifications (e.g., LEED).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be a highly organized, self-motivated individual capable of thriving in a fully remote, collaborative work environment.
