Remote Logistics and Supply Chain Analyst
Job Description
Our client, a leading player in the logistics and supply chain industry, is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Remote Logistics and Supply Chain Analyst. This fully remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in the US while contributing to optimizing global supply chain operations. You will be responsible for analyzing complex logistics data, identifying trends, recommending improvements, and supporting strategic decision-making to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis tools, and a solid understanding of supply chain principles. Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets related to logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and demand forecasting.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights into supply chain performance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions within the supply chain network.
- Model and forecast demand, inventory levels, and transportation needs.
- Evaluate and recommend optimal transportation routes, carriers, and modes of transport.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., operations, procurement, sales) and external partners (e.g., carriers, vendors) to implement supply chain solutions.
- Conduct root cause analysis for supply chain disruptions or inefficiencies.
- Support strategic initiatives, such as network design optimization and new market entry.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in logistics and supply chain management.
- Utilize data visualization tools to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for logistics processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain analysis, or operations.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel (advanced), SQL, Python, or R.
- Experience with supply chain planning software and ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong understanding of logistics principles, inventory management, and transportation management.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data clearly.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
