Remote Logistics & Supply Chain Manager - Global Operations

Our client is seeking a highly organized and experienced Logistics & Supply Chain Manager to join their fully remote team. This critical role will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company's global supply chain operations, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of international logistics, warehousing best practices, and advanced supply chain management principles. This is a remote-first position, requiring self-discipline, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage teams and processes from a distance.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage global logistics and supply chain strategies to support business objectives.
• Oversee all aspects of inbound and outbound transportation, including carrier negotiation, contract management, and performance monitoring.
• Optimize warehousing and distribution networks to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Manage inventory levels across multiple locations, implementing strategies to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
• Collaborate with internal departments (sales, procurement, operations) and external partners (suppliers, carriers, 3PLs) to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
• Implement and utilize advanced supply chain planning and visibility tools.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports on supply chain performance, identifying areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant trade regulations, customs requirements, and shipping documentation.
• Lead and mentor a remote team of logistics and supply chain professionals.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies for the supply chain.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the supply chain using data analysis and best practices.
• Manage relationships with key logistics service providers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in logistics and supply chain management, with a significant portion in a global or international role.
• Proven experience in managing complex transportation modes (air, ocean, ground) and international shipping.
• Strong understanding of WMS, TMS, and ERP systems.
• Demonstrated success in optimizing warehouse operations and distribution networks.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities, particularly in a remote setting.
• Experience with supply chain software and data analytics tools.
• Knowledge of international trade laws and customs regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a remote team.
