Our client, a leading global logistics and supply chain provider, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Logistics Operations Manager to oversee their expansive operations. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the US. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of international shipping, warehousing best practices, and supply chain optimization. You will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless flow of goods, managing key performance indicators, and driving efficiency across a complex network of distribution centers and transportation partners.

- Oversee and manage day-to-day logistics operations, including inbound and outbound shipments, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
- Develop, implement, and refine logistics strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), carriers, and vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Monitor and analyze key logistics performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and transportation costs.
- Utilize advanced analytics and reporting tools to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement within the supply chain.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including customs, trade, and safety standards.
- Develop and implement robust inventory control procedures to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
- Lead and mentor a remote team of logistics coordinators and specialists, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, procurement, and customer service, to align logistics operations with business objectives.
- Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and market trends to maintain a competitive edge.
- Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and ensure business continuity in the event of disruptions.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, with a proven track record of managing complex operations.
- Extensive experience with transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
- Strong understanding of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and trade compliance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate remote teams effectively.
- Exceptional negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, BI software).
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization and with external partners.
- This role is 100% remote and requires a dedicated home office setup with reliable internet connectivity.
