Remote Supply Chain Operations Manager - Global Logistics

Our client is looking for an experienced and highly organized Supply Chain Operations Manager to oversee their global logistics and warehousing operations. This position is fully remote, offering the flexibility to manage operations from anywhere. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of supply chain management, inventory control, transportation, and warehousing best practices. You will be responsible for optimizing the flow of goods from origin to destination, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage complex, international supply chains.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize end-to-end global supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, warehousing, and distribution.
• Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Oversee inventory management processes, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing carrying costs.
• Negotiate and manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, carriers, and suppliers.
• Analyze supply chain data to identify bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain operations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant international trade regulations and customs requirements.
• Lead and mentor a remote team of supply chain professionals.
• Utilize supply chain management software and technology to enhance operational visibility and control.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, manufacturing, and finance, to align supply chain activities with business goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in supply chain management, with a significant focus on logistics and warehousing.
• Proven experience in managing international supply chains and working with 3PL providers.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles, transportation modes, and warehousing operations.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA) and analytics tools.
• Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities, particularly in a remote setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with customs regulations and international trade compliance.
