Senior Supply Chain and Operations Manager (Remote)

Our client, a global leader in supply chain solutions, is seeking a seasoned Senior Supply Chain and Operations Manager to join their fully remote workforce. Responsibilities:

• Oversee and optimize all aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and transportation.
• Develop and implement innovative strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels within the supply chain.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms and performance.
• Implement and manage robust inventory control systems to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
• Lead a remote team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
• Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and finance teams to forecast demand and align supply chain activities accordingly.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the supply chain operations.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and carriers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, logistics, and warehousing operations.
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex, multi-site supply chains.
• Expertise in inventory management, demand planning, transportation management, and warehouse operations.
• Proven ability to lead and manage remote teams effectively.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., ERP systems, WMS, TMS).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles is a plus.
