Remote Supply Chain Operations Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Supply Chain Operations Manager to join their growing, fully remote team. In this critical role, you will oversee and optimize all aspects of the supply chain and logistics operations, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of goods. This position offers the flexibility of working from any location within the US, supporting a remote-first work environment. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategies to enhance inventory management, transportation, warehousing, and demand planning. Your expertise will drive improvements in operational performance and contribute to overall business success.

- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive supply chain strategies and processes.
- Oversee daily operations of warehousing, inventory management, transportation, and order fulfillment.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving measures.
- Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure smooth flow of goods and services.
- Optimize inventory levels to balance demand, supply, and carrying costs.
- Manage and negotiate contracts with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and transportation vendors.
- Implement and maintain robust inventory control systems and procedures.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain operations and report on performance.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
- Lead and mentor a remote team of supply chain professionals.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
- Utilize supply chain planning and execution software to manage operations effectively.
- Manage risk within the supply chain and develop contingency plans.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong understanding of warehousing, inventory management, transportation, and procurement.
- Experience with ERP and WMS systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, particularly in a remote setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- APICS certification (CSCP, CPIM) is a plus.
- Experience in managing global supply chains is advantageous.
