Remote Senior Supply Chain Operations Manager
Job Description
Our client, a leading global logistics and supply chain solutions provider, is seeking a Remote Senior Supply Chain Operations Manager. This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to lead and optimize complex supply chain operations from anywhere in the US. You will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, transportation, and distribution, to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in supply chain management, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to drive continuous improvement within a distributed team.

- Design, implement, and manage optimized supply chain strategies and operational processes.
- Oversee daily logistics operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, warehousing, and transportation.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor supply chain efficiency, cost, and service levels.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency gains throughout the supply chain.
- Collaborate with internal departments (procurement, sales, finance) and external partners (suppliers, carriers) to ensure seamless operations.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and negotiate contracts.
- Implement and utilize supply chain management software and technologies to enhance visibility and control.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, forecasting operational costs and identifying savings opportunities.
- Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals in a remote environment, fostering collaboration and high performance.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for strategic planning.
- Respond effectively to disruptions and develop contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in logistics and supply chain management.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., APICS CSCP, CLTD) is a strong plus.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in supply chain operations management, with a focus on logistics and warehousing.
- Proven expertise in end-to-end supply chain planning, execution, and optimization.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, WMS, TMS, and ERP systems.
- Experience with data analysis, performance metrics, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills, particularly in a remote setting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex operational challenges and drive positive change.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications, including MS Office Suite and specialized supply chain tools.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Experience in managing cross-functional projects and cross-border logistics is advantageous.
