Remote Operations Manager - Global Supply Chain

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Remote Operations Manager to oversee critical aspects of their global supply chain operations. This is a fully remote role, requiring a self-motivated and results-driven individual with a proven track record in managing complex logistics and operational workflows from a distance. You will be responsible for optimizing supply chain processes, ensuring efficiency, and driving continuous improvement across a global network. This role demands strong analytical skills, exceptional leadership capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in various time zones. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, inventory management, and operational best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and optimize day-to-day global supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, warehousing, and distribution.
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
• Manage relationships with key suppliers, logistics providers, and other external partners.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports on operational performance to senior management.
• Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain, developing contingency plans as needed.
• Lead and mentor a remote team of operations professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
• Implement and leverage technology solutions to improve supply chain visibility and automation.
• Collaborate with sales, manufacturing, and product development teams to ensure alignment of supply chain activities with business objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts through process analysis, problem-solving, and the implementation of best practices.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and international trade requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in supply chain and operations management, with a significant portion in a remote or distributed team environment.
• Proven expertise in global logistics, inventory management, and demand planning.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and ERP systems.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, remote setting.
• Strong understanding of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
