Our client is seeking a highly experienced and self-motivated Senior HVAC Installation and Maintenance Technician to join their entirely remote operations team. This role is designed for a seasoned professional who thrives on problem-solving and client support without the need for direct on-site presence in Portland, Oregon, US . You will be instrumental in providing expert technical guidance, remote diagnostics, and oversight for complex HVAC installations and maintenance projects across various client sites. The successful candidate will leverage advanced diagnostic tools and communication technologies to ensure optimal performance and client satisfaction, all while working from a fully remote setup.

- Provide expert remote technical support and troubleshooting for HVAC systems, including installation, repair, and maintenance issues.
- Analyze client-provided data, schematics, and diagnostic reports to identify root causes of system failures or performance degradations.
- Guide on-site technicians or clients through complex installation, repair, and maintenance procedures via video calls, detailed instructions, and virtual assistance.
- Develop and document best practices for HVAC installation and maintenance, creating resources for field teams.
- Review and approve installation plans and maintenance schedules submitted by field personnel.
- Conduct virtual training sessions for junior technicians on advanced HVAC concepts and problem-solving techniques.
- Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to provide feedback on system design and reliability.
- Manage the lifecycle of remote support tickets, ensuring timely resolution and client satisfaction.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base of HVAC technologies, regulations, and industry standards.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our remote support infrastructure and processes.
- Uphold safety standards and best practices in all guidance provided to field teams.
- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance, with a strong understanding of various system types (e.g., residential, commercial, industrial).
- Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC system issues remotely.
- Proficiency with diagnostic software, digital schematics, and remote collaboration tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Experience training or mentoring junior technicians is highly desirable.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., EPA Section 608 Universal) are a significant advantage.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and maintain a high level of focus in a remote environment.
- A proactive and client-centric approach to service delivery.
